Terms of Service

Effective October 10, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and SoftRinse Group LLC (“Forkcast”, “we”) covering your use of forkcast.app and app.forkcast.app. By creating an account or using Forkcast you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Forkcast.

1. What Forkcast is

Forkcast plans meals. You tell an AI assistant what you want to eat and it drafts a week of dinners, scales recipes to your household and builds a shopping list. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your information and is part of these terms.

2. Your account

You sign in with a Google account. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a contract. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your Google account secure. One account per person.

3. Forkcast is not medical or nutrition advice

Forkcast is a planning tool. It is not a doctor, a dietitian or a nutrition programme, and nothing it produces is medical advice. Dietary goals you record influence which recipes are suggested; they do not make a plan suitable for any medical condition. Talk to a qualified professional before changing your diet for health reasons.

4. Allergies and food safety

Read this section. Forkcast checks the plans it drafts against the allergies you have told it about. That check is automated and can be wrong. Recipes come from other websites, ingredient lists can be incomplete, and packaged products change.

Forkcast does not guarantee that any recipe or plan is free of any allergen. You are responsible for reading every recipe and every product label, and for deciding what is safe for you and the people you cook for. If an allergy is serious, do not rely on Forkcast to protect you from it.

You are also responsible for safe food handling, storage and cooking.

5. The assistant can be wrong

The assistant is an AI system. It can misunderstand you, give incorrect quantities, cooking times or nutritional claims, or describe a recipe inaccurately. Check anything that matters before you act on it.

6. Trial and usage limits

Forkcast is currently free to try. Each account receives a limited allowance of AI usage, and we also apply weekly and service-wide limits. When a limit is reached the assistant stops responding until it resets or we raise it; your plans, shopping lists and preferences stay available.

We may change these limits, or introduce paid plans, at any time. We will tell you before charging you for anything, and we will never charge you without your agreement.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of what you put into Forkcast: your messages, preferences, photos and the recipes you write yourself.

You give us permission to store, process and display that content only as needed to run Forkcast for you, including sending it to the service providers named in the Privacy Policy. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies in backups that expire on their own.

Do not upload anything you have no right to share, or anything unlawful.

8. Recipes from other sites

Many recipes in Forkcast come from other websites and link back to them. They belong to their publishers. Forkcast is for your personal, non-commercial meal planning; do not republish recipes you find through it.

If you believe something in Forkcast infringes your copyright, email admin@forkcast.app with the work, where it appears and your contact details, and we will remove it promptly.

9. Acceptable use

Do not:

• use Forkcast for anything unlawful;
• attempt to access another person’s account or data;
• probe, overload or disrupt the service, or bypass its usage limits, including by creating multiple accounts;
• scrape Forkcast or use it to build a competing dataset or product;
• try to make the assistant produce harmful content or reveal its instructions.

10. Ending your account

You can stop using Forkcast at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing admin@forkcast.app.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.

11. Changes to the service

Forkcast is new and changes often. We may add, change or remove features, and we may shut the service down. If we shut it down we will give you notice and a way to get your data first.

12. Disclaimers

Forkcast is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that Forkcast will be uninterrupted, accurate or error-free, or that any plan, recipe or shopping list is correct, complete, nutritionally adequate or safe for you.

13. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Forkcast and its owners, employees and suppliers are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of Forkcast. Our total liability for any claim relating to Forkcast is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and US $100.

Some places do not allow some of these limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because you broke these terms or the law while using Forkcast, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in California, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them elsewhere.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Forkcast after that means you accept the new terms.

17. General

If part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights under these terms; we may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganisation.
